EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: With Diamond Comics filing bankruptcy and the loss we suffered from them not paying for our December issue #137, we are doing our best to keep producing both Scary Monsters (SM) and Castle of Frankenstein (CoF) magazines. In order to stay afloat and keep both SM and CoF in print, we're forced to make the following changes to what’s included in our subscription offering.
ALL NEW/or RENEWAL subscriptions will still include a total of 4 magazines but will now include 2 issues of Scary Monsters and 2 issues of Castle of Frankenstein to U.S. addresses only. Subscriptions include shipping by U.S. First-Class Mail in a Tear/Water Resistant Polyolefin Mailing Envelope and credit card processing fee.
Please indicate your choice of a bagged and boarded (B&B) or non-bagged and boarded subscription at the drop-down menu above.
$65 - Non bagged and boarded subscription, or
$70 - Bagged and boarded subscription (each issue placed in archival-quality resealable plastic sleeve with backer board)
You'll receive the following four issues published quarterly:
- Scary Monsters #139 (SUMMER 2025) late June,
- Castle of Frankenstein #42 (FALL 2025) late September,
- Scary Monsters #140 (WINTER 2025) late December, and
- Castle of Frankenstein #43 (SPRING 2026)
Shipping Insurance NOT AVAILABLE for subscriptions: This is a paper magazine mailed in a tear proof/water resistant polyolefin mailer. We are not responsible for USPS mishandling of subscription copies and damaging them. If your copy is damaged in mailing and UNREADABLE, please contact us. We will provide a one-time courtesy replacement copy per subscription with all postage and handling costs to reship another copy to be paid by the requester. Insurance is NOT available for subscription mailings, therefore, DO NOT select insurance in the shopping cart. If you require insurance, please purchase your new copies individually rather than through a subscription. Individually ordered copies are shipped in a bend-resistant cardboard mailer.
Subscription Cancellation & Refund Policy: Once the subscription order is placed, it cannot be canceled. Subscriptions are paid in advance. There is no provision for refunds once the subscription starts.

SAVE FIVE BUCKS! Pay by money order or check and subtract $5 off your subscription order total (your receipt won't take the deduction automatically). In the online shopping cart, select the "Mailed Payment" option. Money order or check payments must be made out to MyMovieMonsters.com (NOT Scary Monsters), PO Box 70, Alma, AR 72921-0070. We must receive your mailed payment within 10 days or your order may be canceled.
Canada Customers: Postage has gotten too expensive to offer subscriptions to foreign locations, but until further notice, you can pick up your copies at Chapters/Indigo bookstores. Overseas Customers: UK customers can get their copy from Hemlock Books.
