We ship strictly through the U.S. Postal Service. Tracking through USPS is included.
Order Processing and Delivery Times: We generally ship orders made with a credit card or money order within two business days of receipt of the order. Personal checks require a 10-business-day hold until the check clears the bank. Delivery times are determined by USPS but expect to receive your order within 3-7 days not including Sundays or federal holidays. Books, DVDs, and VHS ordered for delivery via Media Mail may take 10 days or more to receive.
How We Ship: Postage for magazines is determined by the quantity ordered. Postage for all other items is based on total weight. Individual magazine orders ship in a bend-resistant cardboard mailer. Up to four or so magazines (depending on thickness) ship in a padded envelope with cardboard. Larger orders generally ship in a flat-rate box.
First-Class shipping in the U.S. is only available for items 15.9 ozs or less. First-Class shipping orders weighing more than 15.9 ozs will ship via Parcel Select Ground unless an expedited service such as Priority Mail is selected. In some instances Priority Mail is less expensive than Ground in which case we would ship using that service.
Special Note About Media Mail Shipping: In some instances it is the most inexpensive option for U.S. shipments, however, orders using this option can only contain bound books or DVDs/VHS tapes, nothing else. Comics and magazines (because of the ads) DO NOT qualify. We reserve the right to cancel any Media Mail shipping order containing items that do not qualify, or we will require the customer to send additional funds to cover postage. Your order may be delayed because of this. We suggest doing separate orders if Media Mail is desired for books and/or DVDs and you intend to order other items that do not qualify.
Lost or Damaged Shipments: While our customers very rarely experience any difficulties with shipments from us through USPS, we make shipping insurance available for a nominal fee in our shopping cart (it is required for Canada shipments). Insurance up to $50 is included at no extra charge for all Priority Mail shipments, however, if you wish to insure a purchase that is valued at over $50 you must pay for insurance covering the full amount. Although in most cases an insurance claim for damage can be made right away, we cannot make insurance claims for lost domestic shipments until 21 calendar days after shipment. Insurance claims for lost Canada shipments cannot be made until 45 days after shipment. In all cases, we will need a signed affidavit letter from the customer listing the name(s) of the item(s), purchase price, and damage description, as well as a clear photo(s) showing the damaged item(s) and shipping materials. We cannot be made liable for loss or damage in shipping, so insurance is recommended.
International Orders (Canada Only)
We accept international orders only from Canada and no longer ship overseas. All Canada orders must include shipping insurance, available in the shopping cart at the time of purchase. Orders must have a confirmed PayPal shipping address (see www.paypal.com for details). We will not ship until the shipping address is confirmed. If we have any concerns, we reserve the right to cancel any order and refund the purchase price.
Delivery times to Canadian destinations can take 7-10 days or more, not including Sundays and federal holidays.
Customs Fees or other additional taxes or charges applied by Canada customers or postal authorities are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in our shipping and handling charges. We mark all international shipments as merchandise and at the actual value. We will not mark any shipment as a gift or understate its value. This is a violation of U.S. and international law.
