Ghosts on the Loose 2-pak with Little Shop of Horrors DVDs New

The East Side Kids Meet Bela Lugosi! This hilarious horror-comedy features the lovely Ava Gardner in one of her earliest roles. 2-pak with the original cult classic The Little Shop of Horrors, with a very young Jack Nicholson.

Ghosts on the Loose (1943/B&W/65 mins.)
Mugs McGinnis, Glimpy Williams and the boys are preparing for the wedding of Glimpy's sister Betty (Gardner) adn Jack Gibson (Rick Vallin), who have just bought an old country house. Planning to surprise the couple by fixing up the place, the boys accidentally end up at the "haunted" house next door, where Nazi spy Emil (Lugosi) and his gang are printing propaganda booklets for the "New Order."

Fun Fact: If you listen carefully, you can hear Lugosi sneeze a four letter word.

The Little Shop of Horrors (1960/B&W/70 mins)
Seymour is a young man who works in a flower store. He manages to create a carnivorous plant that feeds on human flesh. Nobody knows about it, so Seymour and the plant become good "friends." The plant needs food to grow up, so it convinces him to start killing people.

Trivia Time: Screenwriter Charles B. Griffith used his own relatives for fun, using many of them in the crowd scenes his grandmother Myrt, for example, and the hobo that Dr. Farb tortures in his office is his own father. The bums in the background of the street shots are real transients, however, and were filmed in the actual skid row area of L.A.

Note: the shrinkwrap keeping the separately cased DVDs together in the 2-pak is peeling off but both DVDs are individually wrapped and factory sealed.
