Life Magazine Frankenstein Story 150th Anniversary Boris Karloff cover 1968

On March 15, 1968, Life Magazine featured horror legend Boris Karloff on its cover, Happy 150th, Dear Frankenstein. Inside is a 10-page article, The Horrible Truth About Frankenstein, on the 150th anniversary of Mrs. Percy Bysshe (Mary) Shelley's novel. Life Magazine Vol. 64, No. 11 -35 cents.

Next to Karloff's photo on the cover, it says, Boris Karloff at 80 celebrates an old friend's birthday.

Karloff "The Uncanny," born William Henry Pratt on Nov. 23, 1887, would become best known for playing The Monster in the movie version of the story released in 1931 and followed by several more sequels and film adaptations.

Each copy has a shipping label, one from Flemington, NJ, the other from Long Beach, CA. These very nice vintage magazines are sold as-is. Very little wear such as tiny chips on edges with yellowing inside pages. Stapled binding intact with no tape.
