Robby the Robot made his debut appearance in the classic 1956 movie Forbidden Planet and he has since become a pop culture icon. A super-obedient and strong robot, Robby was also a walking biochemical laboratory and even spoke 187 languages.

This easy-to-assemble plastic model of Robby comes with concise, fully illustrated instructions. Fully constructed, Robby is posed with his pincher arms extended and measures 8.5 inches tall on a plastic space-rock stand.

The set also comes with a detailed painting guide (paints and model glue are not included). Fans may be interested to know that Forbidden Planet was an adaptation of Shakespeare's The Tempest, and the movie's space explorers were the prototype for the Star Trek crew of the USS Enterprise. --Gail Hudson From the Manufacturer Officially licensed by Warner Brothers.
