This volume also features a cover by celebrated fantasy and horror illustrator Sanjulian and a brand-new foreword by comic-book historian and writer Richard Arndt. Collecting CREEPY issues #42-45, our current excursion dives into an era when CREEPY began hitting another creative groundswell-attracting fresh, globe-spanning talent to produce even more groundbreaking, genre shattering tales! With stories by industry titans such as Richard Corben, Dave Cockrum, and Mike Ploog, CREEPY magazine continued to thrive as it also evolved in the early 1970s. Originally launched in 1964 and edited by Russ Jones, the magazine would be published quarterly and then bi-monthly until 1983. Archie Goodwin was editor from 1965-1967, with a few brief return stints, and was perhaps its most influential writer. Many legendary artists worked on the magazine, including Frank Frazetta. A companion magazine, EERIE, was launched in 1966 so Uncle Creepy would have an adversary, Cousin Eerie. Each factory sealed archive edition from Dark Horse retails for $49.95 and comes with several complete magazines. See our other CREEPY, EERIE, and EC Comics Archives titles! A must for classic horror, sci-fi and comic fans! Important Shipping Note: This is a heavy book.
